Who are we?
The Carlos Catania BJJ Association is operated by 4th degree IBJJF Black Belt Carlos Catania. We are a family of Brazilian Jiujitsu practitioners with one common goal; to help our students, and each other progress and be successful in life through BJJ.
We have affiliate schools in the United States and Canada} and we accept affiliations from schools and individuals seeking to learn effective BJJ for self defense or competition.
Our schools are allowed to wear whatever color uniform they choose, pick the focus of their curriculum, and provide customized service to their clients. We do not mandate any specific techniques. We do encourage our instructors and students explore the vast art of BJJ and its benefits. Some of our affiliates focus on self defense, some are more MMA focused, and some are sport centric.
